Vygotsky's theory states that children are curious and observant in a social context. They are given the opportunity to be active in developing with guidance by someone else. The zone of proximal development are skills that the child can only do with assistance. Scaffolding is the temporary support that is adjusted for each learner.

  1. I like that you added that scaffolding needs to be adjusted for each learner. Sometimes it is presumed that each child should develop the same, or sometimes parents don't adjust their methods with each child.

  2. I agree that the zone of proximal development activities are only at good use with the help from an older individual. This older individual is able to guide and help with the development.
