I feel that if schools start teaching them a foreign language when they first get into school, so either preschool or kindergarten the kids will better learn the language and feel more comfortable with learning it over time. In the school I went to foreign language was not an option until 7th grade so most students tried to take it but dropped out of it due to not being able to learn as fast as the teacher wanted us to.

  1. I definitely agree, I started learning spanish in 7th and 8th grade and when I was in 1st grade foreign language was not an option. Over time, they changed that and the first graders knew more than us and felt more comfortable with the language because they eased into it slowly and learned at their own pace.

  2. I agree. If we were introduced to foreign language early in life it would be much easier for us to pick up. I took two years in high school and don't remember hardly anything, which made it difficult to take it for a semester in college.

  3. I agree with you that it starts too late. At that point students, as I did, simply memorize the information right before the test and then forget it right after. By introducing it earlier it gives the kids a more gradually learning approach.
