The two pieces of information I would give a new mother about her infant's biosocial/physical development would be information about an enriched environment and motor development. An enriched environment is important for an infants physical and social developments. Making sure her infant is in a nourishing environment that promotes these things will ensure her physical and emotional health as she grows older. I would also stress the importance of motor development. I would show her ways to improve her infants gross and fine motor skills and teach her the importance.

  1. I agree with you on the enriched environment, for the infants physical and social development and its emotional health as well, and pairing that with motor skills is good because if they can provide an enriched environment then that will help in the childs motor development.

  2. I think those two pieces of information are very important to share with a new mother. Sometimes people may overlook the importance of an enriched environment. I agree with you that living in an enriched environment when you are young has an impact on your development as you grow older.

  3. I agree that telling the mother about not just developing "motor skills" but also explaining more in depth that there are both fine motor skills and gross motor skills. If they know that it's not just one broad catagory, they will be better able to make sure they develop both gross and fine motor skills and not focus too much on only the large skills.
