The first piece of advice I would give a new mother would be the importance of brain development within her infant. The brain is growing and developing rapidly during this time. So it is important that the mother provide the infant with an enriched environment for the infant to thrive mentally. I would also stress the importance of motor skills. The infant should begin to move and control their body. The mother should do activities to enhance the infants motor skills.

ReplyDeleteI agree that brain development is extremely important. The first years of a childs life is so important and they need to be stimulated properly to ensure proper development.
Stimulation is very important in an infants development. As far as motor skills, every opportunity should be taken to practice these skills. Skills should be expectations appropriate for their stage of development.
ReplyDeleteBrain development is very important during this time and an enriched environment could help the infant. Motor skills are another important skill to develop because if not developed properly the infant will have trouble his or her whole life.
